Rode the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad in southwest
Colorado today. This historic steam train has been running since
the 1880s, originally hauling silver and gold from the San Juan
Mountains. Now it carries passengers from Durango along the
Animas River, through canyons and cliffside tracks, all the way
to the tiny mountain town of Silverton. Easily one of the most
scenic train rides I’ve ever done.
